VA DISABILITY CONSULTATIONS

VA Disability Consultations

We believe every disabled veteran should get the VA rating they deserve. Our team can help!

What is a disability rating?

A disability rating is what the VA uses to determine the severity of your disability. It is expressed as a percentage, representing how much your disability decreases your overall health and ability to function. Disability ratings are given in 10% increments, between 0 – 100, with 0% being the least severe and 100% being the most severe. This rating is what the VA uses to determine your disability compensation, a monthly tax-free payment to veterans that have conditions deemed to be connected to their military service in some way.

What does the VA need to determine your disability rating?

The VA uses various documentation and evidence to determine your disability rating:

-         Private medical records (reports, clinical notes,             imaging results, etc.)

-         Military personnel records

-         Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)

-         Nexus Letters

-         Other supporting documents (letters/statements             from family members, law enforcement                               personnel, military personnel, clergy, etc.)
